JOB DESCRIPTION
- Cashier/Returns Associate
The Cashier/Returns Associate plays a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service and can converse with customers in native language. Contacts the Head Cashier or other member of management if customer needs are not met. Monitors and maintains Self Checkout area and/or processes return transactions, as assigned. Proactively seeks product/project knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities. Follows all policies and procedures outlined in training. Each associate has the responsibility of providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager On Duty, and working safely as not to endanger themselves, co-workers, vendors, or customers. - Lot Associate
The Lot Associate’s primary responsibility is to load the orders into customer vehicles. The position not only interacts with The Home Depot associates, but the customers as well. Lot Associates are often the first and last associate to interact with a customer as they enter or leave the store meaning customer service plays a vital role in this position. Bi-lingual Lot Associates can converse with customers in their preferred language. Each associate has the responsibility of providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager On Duty, and working safely as not to endanger themselves, co-workers, vendors, or customers. - Sales Associate
Sales Associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. Bi-lingual sales associates have an emphasis on conversing with a customer in that customer’s native language, sharing department and product knowledge, providing information on product features, and knowing related items to sell an entire project. Associates in
this position know how to greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department in that customer’s preferred language. They will also maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, and ensure that the areas are clean, shop-able, and safe. Each associate has the responsibility of providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager On Duty, and working safely as not to endanger themselves, co-workers, vendors, or customers.
